Updated by Kellie Oxley
24.9 Release notes
This page contains details of new and amended functionality included in the software update deployed on Thursday 18th January 2024.
Removal of the old layout toggle in Records
What have we done?
We have removed the Old layout toggle previously displayed in all screens within Records.
Why have we done this?
We introduced the old layout toggle at the start of 2023 to allow you to continue viewing your records in the old layout whilst providing you time to configure screens in the new layout. We recently communicated to Admin teams the need to now remove the old layout in records to ensure all users are viewing records in the new layout.
How will you benefit?
All users will view all screens within records in the new layout and no longer have the option to toggle to the old layout, removing any confusion or difference in screens across users.
Details of the change
All screens in records will now be displayed in the New layout and there will no longer be an option to toggle to the Old layout, previously displayed in the top right of each screen within records. Administrators or HR Teams will also no longer have the Enforce new layout tick box previously displayed within Page designer.
Report file name
What have we done?
We have listened to customer feedback and removed the standard file names on the following reports:- Custom, Cross tab, Record profile and for users who have access the Absence breakdown, Bradford factor, Stability Index and Turnover reports.
Why have we done this?
Based on the feedback we received, the recent change had impacted some internal processes related to report exporting so rather than the scheduled files being overwritten, a new file was being generated saving it in Cloud folders with each update.
How will you benefit?
You can now set your own file name for the above mentioned reports.
Details of the change
You can set your own file name on the above mentioned reports when editing and configuring the output tab, whether that be just opening the file, downloading as an excel file, saving an excel file to a cloud folder or choosing to email an excel file. You can also change the file name when running those reports too as can be seen in the below example's from a custom report:
Number fields in record screens now display left aligned
What have we done?
We have amended all number fields in records to be left aligned.
Why have we done this?
To display all fields consistently in records. Previously number fields were displaying right aligned when the rest of the fields displayed left aligned.
How will you benefit?
The visual presentation of the data is now enhanced making it easier for users to read the information as they scroll down the page.
Details of the change
Number fields now display left aligned as with all other fields in records, see the screenshot below to highlight how the data looked before and after the change:
HR Applets in My Workplace
What have we done?
Resolved an issue which occurred when configuration changes were made to the HR tiles in the Home Page designer of System manager, impacting access to the HR applets configured on your desk in MyWorkplace.
Why have we done this?
Previously amending the configuration broke the respective HR Applet within MyWorkplace.
How will you benefit?
Any configuration changes made to the HR tiles within the Home Page Designer of System manager will no longer break the respective applet in MyWorkplace.
Details of the change
Configuration changes can now be made within Home Page Designer without breaking the HR Applets. DB Values or Find out about tiles that are created or amended in Home Page Designer will now need to have a unique name going forward as you may choose to have more than one of those tile types in My Workplace.
