Kellie Oxley Updated by Kellie Oxley

23.5 Release notes

This page contains details of new and amended functionality included in the software update deployed on the 9th February 2023.

  1. Allow the option for displaying active or disabled users in Security manager to be enabled for system administrators.
    What have we done?
We have amended the option within security manager to allow system administrators to view disabled users as well as active users.
    Why have we done this?
To provide the ability for system administrators to choose which type of users they wish to view, allowing you to filter out disabled users if you do not wish to display those in security manager.
    How will you benefit?
System administrators will be able to see the total counts of active and total counts of disabled users, now that the option is available for you to choose whether to display disabled users or not.
    Details of the change
When accessing security manager as a system administrator you will notice a new option of 'Hide users that are disabled or orphaned in Advanced SSO', as default this new option will be unchecked. To enable this access Security manager > Tools > Advanced SSO options > Settings tab > 'Hide users that are disabled or orphaned in Advanced SSO', once this is applied you will see the total counts at the bottom of your screen, you will also need to reload the screen for the change to take affect -
  1. We have amended the display of the line manager calendar tile to now show the type of reason for an absence

What have we done?

We have amended the line manager calendar tile to show the type of reason rather than the specific reason why an employee is absent.

Why have we done this?

We have changed this so that we are able to restrict what information is shown to indicate why an employee is absent.

How will you benefit?

Line managers will now only be able to see the absence type instead of the specific reason for the absence.

Details of the change

When viewing the line manager calendar tile, hovering your mouse over a date where an employee within your team has an absence, now shows the absence type against the employees name:

Clicking that date presents a popup with the event name now displaying the employees name and the absence type:

For this change to take affect you will need to perform a Standard System save
  1. A new function has been added to identify absences between two dates including bank holidays
    What have we done?
Added a new function within the expression builder called Regional Working Days Between Two Dates under the functions group Date/Time.
    Why have we done this?
We have added this function to allow for calculations and filters to calculate working days between two supplied dates, and an option to consider the day on which bank holidays are falling.
    How will you benefit?
This function can be used to calculate working days between two supplied dates.
    Details of the change
This function takes a Start Date, End Date and Include Bank Holidays and returns working days between two supplied dates considering Bank Holidays.
If you have already identified a need for these changes as part of your project, your implementation consultant will be in contact to apply the required changes.
