This page contains details of new and amended functionality included in the software update deployed on the Thursday 27th July 2023.

  1. HR Home link has been removed from external workflows

What have we done?

We have removed the direct link to HR Home from all external workflows.

Why have we done this?

External workflows are accessed by users who do not have a login account created to access Advanced HR and so the HR Home link was not necessary.

How will you benefit?

External users will no longer have the HR Home link to select when accessing an external workflow link provided by your organisation.

The HR Home link on an external workflow was previously presented as show below:

We have now removed this link, so when a user submits/completes an external workflow they no longer have the HR Home link to select:

This change only affects externally accessed workflows
  1. API data change (OData Implementation)

What have we done?

We are providing you with a new, modern, flexible way for sharing your Advanced HR data with other products via an API.

Why have we done this?

Existing Advanced HR APIs were unchangeable and limited in what they could do. In this release with the introduction of OData we have provided a more flexible solution for integrating with our APIs.

How will you benefit?

You will no longer have the same restrictions with the API schema and can now choose exactly what HR data you want to share via an API.

Details of the change

The API remains a REST API (with no write capabilities). Advanced HR Data can now be queried using the industry standard OData syntax. More information on OData can be found here
