Retiring AVA

Advanced Virtual Assistant - AVA announcement

We’re following up on our previous announcements to inform you that AVA will be officially retired on 10/10/2024. As of this date, access to the chatbot will be automatically discontinued, and we will cease releasing any further improvements, closing all related support tickets.

Why are we retiring the functionality?

The chatbot was initially developed to provide an interactive experience and a quicker way to search for data.

However, having reviewed the data it's clear that AVA isn't bringing the value to you that we hoped it would. With the current advancements in AI technology it has become apparent that supporting and developing AVA in it's current state is not a viable option for providing the experience we want for our users.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • The AVA button will be removed and access to AVA conversation window, along with the associated search and leave booking functionality within, will not be available from 10/10/2024.
  • Any existing support tickets for AVA will be closed.

What is the alternative?

  • You can continue to access your data through the records menu, using the search and filter functionality to find records faster.
  • Annual leave can continue to be booked through your leave request workflows or the MyWorkplace applet.

What are the next steps?

You don't need to take any additional action.
